TOP GEAR NEW DEFENDER LIFT
LAND ROVER AND TOP GEAR JOINED FORCES TO PUT THE VEHICLE TO THE ULTIMATE TEST OF STRENGTH BY SUSPENDING THREE STANDARD DEFENDERS FROM A 60 METRE CRANE. EACH CAR HELD THE WEIGHT OF THE CAR BELOW IT.
D3 were asked to help create this feat to mark the new Defender taking the double in securing the overall Car of the Year and the Unstoppable Force award. We were approached based on our skills in extreme engineering and knowledge of the vehicle’s capabilities. After a few practices the test of strength was ready to be filmed and it was a great success. Our safe hands are relied on by our clients for big and small projects because we are solution focussed and inventive in our approach to a challenge. The test is featured in Top Gear magazine and in a digital presentation on Top Gear’s YouTube channel.
